Government Authority located in Carson City, Nevada; USA based organization looking for expert vendor for broadband study.
[A] Budget: Looking for Proposals
[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide broadband study to the government authority located in Carson City, NV.
- to examine landscape, identify gaps, present possible solutions, and make recommendations to enhance middle mile connectivity with the ultimate aim of bringing about universal access to broadband
- Substantial knowledge of the broadband ecosystem, including last mile, middle mile, and long-haul networks
- Substantial knowledge of broadband infrastructure governance systems
- Substantial knowledge of federal funding streams for broadband
- Substantial experience researching and communicating with diverse stakeholders
- Substantial experience working with state and local governments, and private providers
- Map all existing middle mile routes. It is expected that the contractor/vendor will mine data from a paid service like FiberLocator and GeoTel
- Map the State of Nevada owned middle mile fiber
- Survey existing and potential new investment middle mile providers to gauge interest in increased investment on east-west and north south routes
- Survey to determine how middle mile providers would leverage Federal investment
- Economic development projects and last mile broadband deployments are now dependent on accessing multiple, diverse paths of fiber along these key trunk or middle mile routes because most companies require fiber from different directions to serve their sites, so a single fiber cut does not cause a broadband service interruption
(2) All the questions must be submitted no later than January 26, 2022.

[D] Work Performance:
Performance of the work will be Offsite. Vendor needs to carry work in their office premises.
