[A] Budget: Looking for Proposals
[B] Scope of Service:
Vendor needs to provide consultant for repatriation of native American artifacts to the government authority located in Reno, NV.
- Task Management, Communication, and Meetings. Includes:
- Organize meetings with staff to establish schedule and goals.
- Develop a brief outline of tasks and a timeline for completion of the tasks.
- Hold regular meetings and email correspondence with client
- Campus Visits:
- Visit campus in person to assist with collections searches, to conduct or assist with agency and Tribal meetings, and make determinations about potentially eligible cultural heritage in various units across the University. Each visit consists of two 10-hours days
- Pay special attention to and provide advice about how to inventory the extensive holdings of our Anthropology Research Museum and of other museums and collections on campus
- After each visit, prepare a report about work accomplished, objectives still in progress, and new goals that may be identified.
- Tribal Consultation and Outreach for Cases:
- Draft Consultation Letters and work with Director of the Anthropology Museum to prepare a document on the history and other identifying details regarding the Ancestral Remains that are in the possession of the Museum
- After one month, reach out two times via email and phone to those Tribes that have not yet responded. Track responses
- Create a database that will be used to track contact with Tribes
- Drafting of Repatriation Policy, Strategic Plan, and Budget:
- These documents will provide a transparent and uniform process for ensuring quick, reliable, and consistent responses to Tribal inquiries and claims as well as the involvement of descendent communities in collection access and management across time.

[D] Work Performance:
Performance of the work will be Offsite. Vendor needs to carry work in their office premises.
