Government Authority located in Carson City, Nevada; USA based organization looking for expert vendor for system administrator service.
[A] Budget: Looking for Proposal
[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide system administrator service for shared radio system to support public safety communications throughout the state to the government authority located in Carson City, NV.
- Draft and review all policies and procedures pertaining to the operations and maintenance of the agency for submittal to the governing board
- Draft the annual budget for the system administration for submittal to the Governing Board
- Provide an administrative report at each governing board meeting or as established in the board’s policies and procedures
- Responsible for administering day-to-day operations of the entire agency
- Long-term system planning, upgrades, and expenditures to be submitted to the governing board for its approval
- Act as a single point of contact for agency
- Act as a non-voting facilitator for the technical advisory committee (TAC), user groups (UG), and Governing Board meetings
- Establish UG structure, roles, and responsibilities
- Coordinate billing between members
- Coordinate the sharing of assets and inventory between the system infrastructure owners (SIOs)
- Maintain a list of approved vendor equipment
- Maintain shared documents, meeting agendas, meeting minutes, system updates, and work orders on a central repository, accessible by all NSRS Member Agencies, for all NSRS meetings
- Conduct statewide, real-time monitoring for status and alarm conditions
- Coordinate with the sub-system administrators (SSA) for the resolution of system or network operational issues
- Promote and provide education regarding the NSRS LMR system
- Other duties as directed by the Governing Board
- The permanent position must be capable of communicating at an executive level when coordinating with the governance board (GB) as well as at a technical level when addressing the technical advisory committee (TAC) and user group (UG) on matters concerning the agency.
- The permanent position will be appointed by and will report directly to the GB.
- The permanent position must have technical and management experience of an LMR system.
- The permanent position must understand and be able to undertake and manage the responsibilities.
- The permanent position is required to travel when needed to support the agency.
- The permanent position is required to pass a state approved background check at their expense.
(2) All the questions must be submitted no later than September 29, 2022
