Vendor needs to provide employee benefits manager services to the government authority located in Nevada.
- This position will be primarily responsible for administering the following County programs:
- Worker's Compensation (NRS and NAC Chapters 616A-616D, 617)
- Family Medical Leave Act
- Catastrophic Leave
- Employee Assistance Program
- Additional duties include, but are not limited to:
- Required County employee physicals; including P.O.S.T., new hires, and any billing associated with those.
- Long-term disability associated with catastrophic leave and workers' compensation.
- Reviewing and providing input and informing on the impact of pending legislation to senior management related to the areas of responsibility.
- Overseeing the structured return-to-work and medical separation processes (both workers' compensation and non-work-related injuries).
- Handling and/or overseeing actuarial studies (both workers' compensation presumptive and non-presumptive).
- Coordinating job function analyses and essential job function analyses.
- Commenting on and reviewing relevant County Personnel Directives and Collective Bargaining Agreements.
- Assisting with fitness for duty inquiries and assessments.
- Other related duties to the position.
