(1) Vendor needs to provide dispatch phone system.– The should integrate with the system and utilize technology to triage phone calls, provide location services for dispatchers to easily and quickly find a location for the caller, which is especially important with today’s cell phone technology.– In addition to location services, the solutions should provide video feed which can be linked from the dispatcher to the sworn field units.– Translation services should also be included in which a caller who does not speak English when the phone call is initiated with the communications agency.– The phone system will automatically transcribe what the caller is saying into english, and when the dispatcher verbally responds, the system will translate back to the language of the caller.(2) All the questions must be submitted no later than April 22, 2024.
