[A] Budget: Looking for Proposals
[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide library educational databases services to the content, which they will continue to host, upon authentication (through geolocation, library card, username and password, and/or IP address) to the government authority located in Carson City, NV.
- Content must be compatible with a wide variety of technological platforms, devices, and browsers. Access to the content will be available for students, faculty and staff through a link on their public or school library web site (authenticating with one of the methods above).
A. Reading and Research Content for Early Learners
- Ideal content will utilize multimodal learning to support information literacy, reading, and research skills for young and emerging readers.
- Additional content in Spanish or other languages is desirable.
B. Skills Building and Test Preparation
- Online access to standardized test preparation resources for academic and professional certification and licensing exams, and academic skills building resources for school age and adult learners. Examples of preferred content include SAT/PSAT, ACT, GED, TEAS, TOEFL, ASVAB, Citizenship, industry-specific exams, and resources that support academic achievement, career development, and job seeking activities.
- Additional materials should include course guides.
- Additional content in Spanish or other languages is desirable.
C. Encyclopaedias and Reference Materials
- Encyclopaedias, biographies, almanacs and reference materials, primary source documents, maps and image collections geared towards PreK, school age learners, and a general audience.
- Additional content in Spanish or other languages is desirable.
- Ideal content for preK-2 audiences will utilize multimodal learning
D. Virtual reality and augmented reality content
- Content to expand the range of virtual and augmented reality content in STEM and workforce development disciplines; content should be accessible without needing dedicated virtual reality hardware.
(2) All the questions must be submitted no later than September 19, 2019.
(3) Contract term will be two years.
