[A] Budget: Looking for Proposals
[B] Scope of Service:
Vendor needs to provide third-party workers compensation claim administrators for claims administration services for the Uninsured Employers Claim Account workers compensation claims including claims administration, claim investigation, case preparation for litigation purposes; case management; and bill review, processing and payment of all claim related benefits services.
- The mission of the Division of Industrial Relations (DIR), Workers Compensation Section (WCS) is to impartially serve the interest of Nevada employers and employees by providing assistance, information, and a fair and consistent regulatory structure. This regulatory structure is focused on regulating Nevada workers compensation system to ensure that injured employees receive accurate and timely delivery of all workers’ compensation benefits to which they are entitled, and that insurers and third-party administrators consistently provide those benefits uniformly.
- Assume responsibility for the transfer from the previous vendor of all open and closed claims, while maintaining claim file completeness, coherence and integrity.
- Promptly review, compute and timely pay all benefits, rating awards, life medical and life pensions, in accordance with Nevada law.
- All claims, including medical only and lost time claims, shall be thoroughly investigated to determine compensability and include contact with the employer, injured employee, witnesses and treating physician. The vendor shall address issues affecting compensability, possibility of subrogation, extent of injuries and benefits in order to assist in litigated cases.
- Any questionable and/or late bill submissions recommended for payment, must be approved by the UECA claims coordinator. Vendor must provide the rationale supporting documents to substantiate payment for the bill.
[C] Eligibility:
- Onshore (USA Organization Only);
[D] Work Performance:
Performance of the work will be Offsite. Vendor needs to carry work in their office location.
