(1) Vendor needs to provide forensic nurse practitioner services to the government authority located in Nevada.– Assists medical examiner in performance of examinations of decedents to determine the cause and manner of death through varied sources of information.– Taking or supervising the collection of blood and other tissue samples needed to determine cause of death.– Provides documentation to report findings supported by the medicolegal death investigation in the form of a written report.– Collects evidence and photographs injuries for use in court cases.– Documents and completes reports according to department procedure for use in court cases.– Heavily involved in case review and follow up investigations.– Prepares reports and referral information for outside specialists and services as necessary.– Works collaboratively with other medical professionals, management and staff team members.– May communicate with law enforcement, medical professionals in the community, attorneys and families of decedents.– May oversee students, interns and other forensic staff.– Uses a variety of standard office and specialized medical equipment, such as radiologic equipment and processor, cameras, surgical tools and microscopes.(2) This is not RFP; this is job posting.
