[A] Budget: Looking for Proposals
[B] Scope of Service:
Vendor needs to provide meal services at least three (3) ready-to-eat food meals (the “Meals”) daily to include breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Meals are to be prepared off-site to the government authority located in Las Vegas, NV.
- A mixture of hot and cold Meals is acceptable so long as Meals are made fresh each day.
- While the Successful Bidder, as catering specialists, may decide the Meals prepared, Meals must at a minimum meet certain requirement. Meals must include a source of protein, a starch or grain, a serving of fruit or vegetables, and a drink. Drinks must not be water or sodas. The protein for breakfast may be milk or eggs, but lunch and dinner must include a meat or seafood
- Special Diets
The Successful Bidder must be able to accommodate Special Diet Meal requests as applicable. Special Diet Meals will not be requested unless there is a Patient with dietary restriction or an item on the Monthly Menu the Patient could not (or would not) eat from a previous delivery at the RCC/MR. The City is to provide the Successful Bidder with a twenty-four (24) hour notice of special diet requests needed for Patients. The City is to call the Successful Bidder’s point of contact during business hours for Special Diet requests when the City knows in advanced that a Patient with special meal needs is at the at the RCC/MR. The Successful Bidder must have flexibility to allow for Special Diet requests when the City does not have advance notice of a Patient with Special Diet needs coming into the at the RCC/MR within that twenty-four (24) period. After submission of the Special Diet Meal request, Special Diet Meals must be delivered during the regular meal delivery the next day and in the same manner as the regular meals. Special Meals must be priced at the same rate as the regular meals. Examples of special diet requests include but are not limited to soft food meals, diabetic meals, vegetarian meals and low-sodium meals.
