[A] Budget: Looking for Proposals
[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide online data and reporting platform
- System, that will provide accurate data regarding student outcomes, financial inputs and outputs, staffing, and other factors critical to monitoring and sharing school and system success
- The System will include aggregated data at the District level for broad public consumption; school-specific data to share with the public; and school-level data for analysis by District leadership, school administrators, and educators
- The System shall provide a toolset capable of creating interactive data visualizations that include all common chart types, interactive filtering, the ability to drill down through charts, and the ability to export data to common formats
- Conducting a Districtwide data discovery process to ensure that data from different systems conforms to definitions that allow for comparisons and to ensure that current data infrastructure informs the build of the new data dashboard system
- Developing all four data dashboards, per the phased approach above, each with an interface that is intuitive, easy to use, color-coded, has different user permissions, and is adjustable, as needed
- Determining where any additional data approvals or review processes will be needed to ensure consistency of reporting and communications alignment. As needed, in limited cases, recommending a solution that allows staff to approve the data before it is published to the public
- Building dashboards and interfaces that are presented in both English and Spanish
- Integrating or providing guidance to integrate public-facing dashboards into existing public websites
- Capturing data rules to ensure reporting clarity and consistency. Where data rules do not exist, recommending data rules for consideration and codifying agreed-upon data rules
- Providing a way for advanced users to access the data tables that will allow for more advanced data analysis outside of the system, when needed
- Creating staff and community training documents including online tutorials, videos, and written instructions
- Providing staff to manage incoming user questions during the initial launch period, capturing and sharing responses to common user questions, and rapid support to District staff so they can respond to unique user questions throughout the duration of the engagement,
- Maintaining links to existing data systems
- Establish user roles that include viewing privileges;
- Provide either an Active Directory or G-Suite/Google single sign-on solution for District employees;
- Include additional data views for a subset of users (e.g., enable school-level staff to view early warning indicators at the classroom, grade, and school level);
- Enable users to export data to Excel, PDF, and/or other user-friendly formats;
- Dashboards must perform and respond without lag-time, within acceptable industry standards for the size and scope of the underlying data and user input:
- Dashboard must support drill downs as well as linked reports
- Dashboards development must support team members collaborating virtually;
- Dashboard must work with standard browsers in their current and future updated versions (Chrome, Firefox, MS Edge, Safari), mobile and desktop, without the need for downloading additional add-ons or plugins.
(2) All the questions must be submitted no later than April 14, 2022.
