[A] Budget: Looking for Proposals
[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide cost-based rate study for home and community-based services to the government authority located in Carson City, NV.
- The rate setting methodology should include development of tiered rates based on patient acuity (as applicable), as well as geographic considerations (urban versus rural). Also, note differences between provider types and their corresponding provider qualifications which may indicate differing rates for the different procedure codes covered
- Provider training and support, including group training sessions and individual follow-up communications when necessary.
- Distribution of survey tool and compilation of survey responses
- Vendor shall use data collected from cost surveys, along with pertinent market indicator data as applicable, to calculate updated reimbursement rates based on a rate methodology developed
- The rate model must be flexible and conform to State objectives, which may include the potential transition to a daily rate. The model must be constructed in a way which allows the State to change parameters and model rate changes
- Vendor shall work with the State to potentially develop a methodology to create rates for different service level tiers (when appropriate) as well as differing rates for geographic areas (urban and rural).
- Geographic and Acuity considerations - The provider cost survey will be designed in a way so as to collect information on geographic area (urban and rural) and will contain acuity definitions allowing for analysis of the costs of providing services to patients at different care levels. Information from these questions needs to be sufficient to potentially develop geographic and acuity-based rates.
(2) All the questions must be submitted no later than April 11, 2022.

[D] Work Performance:
Performance of the work will be Offsite. Vendor needs to carry work in their office premises.
