[A] Budget: Looking for Proposals
[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide reviewing medical records, both pre-fight and post-fight, for its licensed, unarmed combatants (e.g., professional boxers, kickboxers and mixed martial artists) to the government authority located in Carson City, NV.
- Medical records review and patient referrals, as well as to conduct research on medical matters associated with the sport of unarmed combat.
- The physician will review and verify the authenticity of submitted medical records before each and every fight card;
- Consult with other treating and examining physicians;
- Order laboratory and other diagnostic tests and procedures;
- Recommend appropriate follow-up care including consultation and referral;
- Participate in meetings of the athletic commission including making recommendations regarding the licensing and medical issues of unarmed combatants;
- Conduct research;
- Compile statistics;
- Issue studies related to subjects such as weight loss, nutrition, injuries, equipment and hydration; and
- Offer advice to the athletic commission on any medical issues that may arise.
(2) All questions must be submitted no later than May 22, 2019.
